    Absolutely. Awful. Customer Service

I haven’t even tried any of the product (after reading the reviews here and on the other review sites – I’m not sure I want to) and I already rank Wine Country Gift Baskets as one of the worst.

They use FedEx Home Delivery (not FedEx Ground – the traditional FedEx). WCGB thinks that is GREAT! customer service involves shipping products through a service where the pick up window is located out of the way, employees don’t answer the phones regularly, can’t even provide proper directions, and are open for 2 hours a day (not a typo – and those hours involve rush hour traffic in Houston).

They are shipping liquor/wine. Someone has to sign. If someone is employed, they will likely have to drive 30 miles to go pick it up. Within the 2 hour window. I’ve heard that FedEx Home Delivery is WORSE (I don’t believe its possible) in Chicago.

Thank God for the gifter it wasn’t a business gift. Next time I get a notice from them that someone sent something through that service. I’m just going to let it go back to them.

Did I get the right thing??

I looked at this basket with the intentions of buying it for my boyfriend’s family which I did purchase it. When they opened it up, everything was small and not all the items were there… I was disappointed with the basket, especially for how much I paid for it!!

This was a gift for my sister. I was told it arrived right on time, was very nice to look at and the items included were delicious!

    Spammer

This company is a spammer. I have now received spam two days in a row. I am positive that I cleared all of the sneaky little checkboxes asking if I want spam, so either they ignore it, don’t ask, or are really sneaky.

The merchandise is average gift basket fare. You could get better quality and better selection yourself for much cheaper. You are paying for convenience and having it packaged in a cheap basket that will get tossed.

12/22/08 After posting this 2 days ago, I sent the company an email asking them to stop spamming. No response to that, but I have gotten two more unsoliticed ads from these bozos.

Delivered on time for Christmas, my friend enjoyed the food. The content fitted the description. I would use it again.
